The VSAT model this bulk carrier has chosen is our V81. This VSAT has a reflector of 83cm diameter, and it works on Ku-band. Our DITEL V81 antenna system is designed with a 3-axis stabilized platform and integrates 5 patent technologies. This antenna is able to offer superior high tracking performance, and supports remote control by PC and mobile, video monitoring, broadband, video conference, VoIP and other network applications. Furthermore, the well-manufactured dome cover not only protects the antenna system from various sea conditions, but its curve design ensures proper reflection for the antenna system. The two VSATs are installed with a certain distance. The clever installation spots selection keeps the antenna from shelters, which ensures the consistency of Internet service on board.
Based on the dual VSAT equipment, this bulk carrier subscribes a global airtime service plan. The crew members on this vessel mainly use Internet service to send work emails and ship management information. They do not have high requirement on download/upload speed.
